CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY

HEALTHCARE FRAUD AND ELDER ABUSE SECTION

MEDICAID FRAUD CONTROL UNIT

 

DUTIES:  Conducts complex investigations involving health care providers in the Virginia Medicaid Program.  Reviews voluminous records, participates and/or assists in search warrants, interviews witnesses and targets of investigations, drafts overpayment schedules, participates and/or assists in undercover operations.  Some overnight travel required.  This position will work out of the Richmond, Virginia office.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Degree in criminal justice, political science, law enforcement, or health care administration preferred.  Commensurate experience reflective of law enforcement, financial auditing, and/or investigation of financial or white collar crime will also be considered.  Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Candidates should have demonstrated computer proficiency with word processing and database management systems (Microsoft products preferred).  Criminal background check will be completed on successful candidate.
